<p>Jean Carew</p><p>Of Arlington Heights</p><p><br></p><p>Jean Carew was born on February 9, 1945, in Neenah, WI to Walter and Erna (nee (Romnek) Anderson. She died peacefully on March 11, 2023 at her home in Arlington Heights.</p><p><br></p><p>She graduated from St. Norberts College with a bachelor's degree in education. Jean married the love of her life Tim Carew on January 22, 1966 and they enjoyed57 happy years of marriage together. Jean was a homemaker who loved preparing holiday meals for her family to enjoy. She loved gardening and everything in her garden thrived in her care, including the animals. She was a DIY fanatic with a great eye for decor, design, and creating the most memorable Christmas ornaments for her family. She possessed superhuman patience and attention to detail in all that she did.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a member of St. Edna Catholic parish for over 50 years were she taught CCD for decades, volunteered in the food pantry of the inner city sharing parish and served on a number committees related to youth catechesis. ......</p><p><br></p><p>Her interests and hobbies included her bridge group, visiting her Menasha High school&nbsp;classmates and family in Wisconsin, and being the biggest cheerleader for the various activities of her children and grandchildren. Over the last few years she deepened her&nbsp;Catholic faith by watching multiple masses a week and addressing her thought to how the Catholic church can reach the next generation.</p><p><br></p><p>Jean is survived by her children Patrick (Kathleen Mullaney) Carew, Jeffrey (Michelle) Carew, Eric (Vicky Molitor) Carew and Anne (Jason) Kerr; her grandchildren Maria,Brendan, Ryan Kevin and Molly Carew and Aidan, Evan and Awna Kerr.</p><p><br></p><p>Jean was preceded in death by her parents.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4:30pm until the time of the Prayer Service at&nbsp;6:30pm at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south&nbsp;of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 15,&nbsp;2023 at 9:00am at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Jean Carew was born on February 9, 1945, in Neenah, WI to Walter and Erna (nee (Romnek) Anderson. She died peacefully on March 11, 2023 at her home in Arlington Heights.


She graduated from St. Norberts College with a bachelor's degree in education. Jean married the love of her life Tim Carew on January 22, 1966 and they enjoyed57 happy years of marriage together.
