Joseph Iglesias
<p>Joseph T. Iglesias, age 75, of Quincy, and formerly of the Philippines, died on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 8:17 p.m. in Columbia University Medical Center in Columbia, MO. </p><p><br></p><p>Joseph was born on July 2, 1947 in the Philippines, a son of Mansueto Iglesias and Maxima Tingal. On August 29, 1969 he married Helen Leyte in the Philippines. She survives. </p><p><br></p><p>Joseph enjoyed working with his hands, especially when he was working on home improvements or working in his garden. Joseph also appreciated education, and he was a life-long learner. As an adult, he attended John Wood Community College, where he received several certificates and diplomas, including certificates in Welding and Criminal Justice.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his wife, Helen, survivors include three children: Joel, Josephine, and Jonalyn Iglesias, all of the Philippines; eight grandchildren: Tristan, Gabby, and Tonton Iglesias; Faisal Iglesias; and Jillan, Ella, and twins, Echo and Encho, Mamaril, all of the Philippines; three sisters: Ann (Gene) Dannar of Barrington, NH; Marietta Raymundo of the Philippines; and Virginia (Roger) Sharrow of golden, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p><br></p><p>Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carlito Iglesias. </p><p><br></p><p>Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home</p><p><br></p><p>Services:10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Father Tom Donovan officiating. </p><p><br></p><p>Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, IL </p><p><br></p><p>Memorials: to be made to Helen Iglesias for expenses.</p><p><br></p><p>www.hansenspear.com </p><p><br></p><p>Hansen-Spear Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. </p><p><br></p>July 2, 1947 - March 11, 202307/02/194703/11/2023
