<p>&nbsp; </p><p>Robbie Nell Russum, age 93 and a lifelong resident of this area died Sunday, March 12, 2023, following an extended illness. </p><p>&nbsp;Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from the chapel of the OTT &amp; LEE Funeral Home in Forest with interment to follow in the Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Smith County.&nbsp; Bro. Doyle Boyles will officiate. The family will receive friends for a time of Visitation from 11am till 1:45pm before the service at the funeral home.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;Known by everyone as Nell, she was born on Sunday, January 26, 1930, in Smith County during the President Hoover era&nbsp; to her parents E.L. Walters Reeves and Eddie B. Reeves. Nell worked for the Raleigh Corporation as a seamstress until she retired.&nbsp; She then went to work for Wal-Mart when the store opened in Forest overseeing the fabric department, and later she worked in every area of the store for over 30 years and was well-known by so many who frequented the store.&nbsp; At age 88, she retired from Wal-Mart.&nbsp; She was a member of the Goodwater Baptist Church, and faithful to attend and work in the church whenever she was available.&nbsp; She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;Best said, she was a true picture of a Proverbs 31 woman. &nbsp;She also loved helping people in anyway she could.&nbsp; She also enjoyed going to the Polkville Civic Center and fellowship with her friends </p><p>&nbsp;She was preceded by her parents,&nbsp; her husband James Alton Russum, and son James Steven Russum, and his wife, Marissa Nanney Russum. </p><p>&nbsp;Survivors include her son, Ricky Allen Russum (Lanay), and one sister Junia B. Mauney all of Morton, two grandchildren Diana Johnston (Timothy) and Daniel Russum (Katie) and four great-grandchildren, Charity Johnston, Hannah Johnston, Joanna Russum, and Elizabeth Russum. </p><p>&nbsp;Pallbearers are Don Sullivan, Tim Johnston, Daniel Russum, Mack Adcox, Richard Russum, and Jeff Barnes. </p><p>OTT &amp; LEE Funeral Home is honored to serve the Russum family. </p>
