Helen Ruth (Dorton) McClellan, 78, of Wardensville, WV passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Stonerise Keyser Nursing Home.

She was born on January 15, 1945 in Clinchport, VA and was a daughter of the late Lester and Margaret (Bowen) Dorton.

Helen was a supervisor for Pilgrim's Pride. She enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her family.

Helen was united in marriage to Lloyd McClellan who preceded her in death on June 12, 2004.

She is survived by her children, David (Barbara) Fields, of Keyser WV, and Valerie Metz, of Wardensville, WV; 5 brothers, Ronnie (Jean)(Nina) Dorton, David (Cindy) Dorton, Frank Dorton, Richard (Patty) Dorton and Bobby Joe (Shelia) Dorton; three sisters, Gail (John) Huff, Carol (David) Sproles, Betty (Joe) Ketron, and grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Fields; son-ion-law, Richard Metz; brothers, Lester Dorton Jr., Johnny Dorton, and Jack Dorton; sisters, Pat Hubble, and Barbara (Dorton) Dean.

A service celebrating Helen's life will be held at a later date.
