It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Doreen Boake, born on May 5, 1931. She passed away peacefully at the age of 91, surrounded by her family on March 10, 2023.

Doreen was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always there for her family, offering love, support, and guidance whenever it was needed. She was a beacon of light in our lives and will be sorely missed.

In addition to her family, Doreen had many passions in life. She loved spending time on the golf course, curling rink, and bowling alley. She was always up for a friendly competition and loved nothing more than spending time with friends and family.

For 63 years, Doreen was also loyal to the Acme Royal Purple Elks. She spent countless hours volunteering and fundraising for the organization. Her selflessness and dedication to this cause were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Despite her many accomplishments, Doreen was always humble and kind. She had a way of making everyone feel special and loved, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Doreen is survived by her 3 children, Gail, Darryl, and Eldon; 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Kevin and her parents.

A celebration of Doreen's life will be held March 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Acme United Church in Acme, AB. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Elks and the Royal Purple Fund for Children in Doreen's memory.
