Carol Ann Gillert-Walasek Omaha, Nebraska Obituary

Carol Ann Gillert-Walasek

Carol passed June 25, 2019 at Methodist Hospital due to complications of a massive stroke. She was raised in Ralston, NE and became a graduate of RHS in 1965. While in school, she was a member of many activities, including girl's glee, mixed chorus, woodwind choir and the marching band. As an adult, she moved to San Diego for many loving years where her passion for animals led her to home day care for pets of all kinds. Upon returning to Omaha in recent years, she became an OPS school bus driver for the Omaha district and surrounding communities. The care and conversations she had with her students were quite endearing. Her love of automobiles drove her to purchase her pride and joy, a 2015 Chevy Camaro "Silver Dream", which she could be spotted driving all over town... the wind in her hair and her beloved dog "Sisco" on her shoulders. Carol is survived by many loving family members. At Carol's request, her remains will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego. Service
