Amherst Leefletcher Williams, age 73, the son of Sam and Jennie E. (Campbell) Williams, was born March 7, 1948 in Greenville, MS. He relocated to Omaha, NE in 1967 and passed away August 13, 2021 in Omaha, Nebraska after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.Survived by devoted wife of 51 years, Brenda R. Willis-Williams; four daughters: Brenda Rosetta Petitphait, Therahlee George (Valentino), Amherstine "Amy", and Precious A Parsons (Benedict); twelve grandchildren; two sisters: Ida Mae Griffin of New York and Ann Ray Arrington of Texas; sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Winzer of Arizona; brother-in-law, Henry Willis Jr. of Arizona; many beloved family and friends as well as the church family of Clair Memorial United Methodist Church.Gathering of Family and Friends 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Clair Memorial United Methodist Church, 5544 Ames Avenue, Omaha. Entombment at a later date. In accordance with Amherst's wishes, there will be no funeral service.
