Allan accepted our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into his life early as a child at the Salvation Army. He went on to attend Omaha Public Schools and graduated from North High School in 1974. He would then go on to serve his country in the United States Navy from 1974 to 1976, receiving an honorable discharge. Allan then pursued culinary expertise and higher education, earning his Bachelor's degree and multiple other certificates and notable mentions. Allan Ray Nelson Jr. was a Christian, Deacon, Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and a friend. He was preceded in death by both parents; four brothers: David, Phillip Jr., Guy, and Randy; two sisters: Lynette and Donna. Allan is survived by three brothers: Stephen (Ethel) Jones, Calvin C. Nelson Sr., and Albert L. Nelson Sr. - his beloved twin; and two sisters, Phyliss Ann Nelson and Janice Marie Nelson.He is also survived by three children: Celestine Belvin, Allan Ray Nelson Jr., and Marcus Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, other relatives, and countless loved ones and friends. Allan's love for the Lord is epitomized in his favorite biblical verse, Isaiah 6:8. May he be so remembered. Amen. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
