Vernon Benjamin DeWild, age 81, the son of Benjamin and Florence Sarah (Pyfer) DeWild, was born August 27, 1937 in Rock Island, Illinois. He passed away March 15, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska.Vernon is survived by his children: Brenda Pribyl and David DeWild (Sarah); grandchildren: Jennifer Wisker, Melissa Pribyl, Danny Pribyl, Hannah DeWild, Faith DeWild; great-grandchildren: Emma, Elijah and Erik Wisker; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death his by wife, Karen DeWild; brothers: Norman, Donald, Paul, Lester, Dale, Gale; sisters: Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary Ruth, Bertha Jean, Frances.Services will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday., March 21, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
