Carol was born December 24th, 1935, to Eric and Helen (Pfeifer) Roloff in Whitewater, Wisconsin.

In her early life, Carol was raised with her large family of 10 siblings. Her mother and father, who were farmers, provided Carol with a passion for gardening and raising her own family.

Carol graduated from Whitewater high school and began working at Moe Lighting where she met her husband, Herb Dorn. They were married January 8th, 1955.

In 1960 they purchased their first home in Edgerton, WI on the west side of town with a large garden. And during the next ten years they had and raised their five children there. Then in 1968 they build their forever home in a nearby woods where the family thrived.

Every summer, Carol and Herb planted a large garden that provided for their family. In the late summer, she would spend time canning vegetables and making jams. She also loved planting flowers ever she could, their house is always colorful.

Carol had many jobs in her life, Moe Lighting, Larsen Canning Co., head cook at Edgerton Middle School, and finally retiring from Parts Unlimited of Janesville.

But her real career was raising her family of four sons and one daughter. She volunteered with the Edgerton Brownies, she helped start the Edgerton's girls' summer softball league, and volunteered for the Cubs Scouts and boys little league.

Carol was a proud grandmother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren; she was always ready to watch the kids anytime, anywhere! She was known for her love of baking cookies with her grandchildren.

Carol was not only dedicated to her family but also helping her community. Later in life she volunteered with the Service Guild, Senior Citizen luncheons and Women’s Mission, meals on wheels and Out Reach.

Some of Carol's favorite hobbies included playing games especially euchre, her and Herb were a good team. She also loved putting together puzzles. She took up crocheting she made many blankets; all her kids have at least a couple of them, and every grandchild received one when they were born.
