<p>It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nella Angelina Callegari (Turchet) on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the age of 80.</p><p><br></p><p>Beloved wife of Delfino Callegari for 61 years. Loving mother to Rob (Laurie) and Greg (Paola). Cherished Nonna to Evan, Emma, Mattea and Roman. Dear sister to Rick (Julie) and the late Elio Turchet. Nella is predeceased by her parents Torindo and Rina Turchet. Sister in law to Elvia Favotto and Maria Callegari and predeceased by her brothers in law Lino Favotto and Giacomo Callegari. She will be fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews and friends at Teakwood Place.</p><p><br></p><p>Nella was born in Pordenone, Italy, moved to Argentina and finally settled in Guelph in her teenage years. She worked for over 20 years at Sears where she met many friends. She loved to cook and made everyone that visited feel welcome in her home. Her smile and laugh will forever be in our hearts.</p><p><br></p><p>A special thank you to the staff at Riverside Glen, Eramosa Neighborhood and nurses and doctors at the Guelph General Emergency department.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph. Visitation to take place on Wednesday March 15, 2023 from 5:00-9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph on Thursday, March 16th, 2023 at 10:30am. Entombment and reception to follow.</p><p><br></p><p>As expressions of sympathy, donations to Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
