Keith Phillip Kibby, 61, departed his life on March 7, 2023, in Joliet, Illinois. He was born March 16, 1961, to the late John and Precious Kibby in Springfield, Illinois.

Keith married Alfreda Whitfield, and they spent years together until his death.

Keith was raised in Springfield, where he accepted Christ at an early age and attended Union Baptist Church. After moving to Joliet, he attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.

Keith was an avid sports fan of baseball, football, and basketball. His love of basketball showed on the courts of Springfield High School, where he graduated.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves not to mourn but to cherish his wonderful memories, his loving wife Alfreda, his children, son Jordon T. Kibby, and stepsons DeJuan Whitfield and Richard “Rico” Smith. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. An uncle Levornia Douglas and a host of cousins and friends.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Kindred Hospital, Sycamore Illinois, and Lightways Hospice Joliet, Illinois…and have entrusted the care of their loved one to Walker Funeral Service and Chapel, Inc.
