<p>On the morning of Saturday, March 11, 2023, Glenda Johnson Moore, 85, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.</p><p><br></p><p>Glenda was born on January 21, 1938, in Cordele, Georgia to the late William and Wilna Johnson. She graduated from West Crisp High School where she played basketball. Growing up in Cordele, Glenda participated in and won recognition as the Watermelon Queen and the Farm Bureau Queen. She attended business school in Macon prior to beginning her career in the banking industry where she retired, after many years of service, with Bank of America. Following her retirement Glenda worked for the Houston County Board of Education as a substitute teacher and was a poll officer for the Houston County Board of Elections. Glenda dedicated her time and talent volunteering as a pianist for Shirley Hills Baptist Church, Northside Baptist Church and would often play for friends and family at special events. Glenda loved sewing, reading, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, working in the yard and being outside. She had a zest for life that will be missed.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edd R. Moore; son, Greg Moore and sister, Georgia Childers.</p><p><br></p><p>Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved children, Terry Fast (Dave) of Bluffton, South Carolina, Jill Moore (Craig Knight) of Warner Robins and daughter in law, Toni Moore of Ellaville; grandchildren, Josh Fast, Jordan Sutton (Shawn), Lezlie Poole, Carson Moore and Christian Knight and brother, Floy Johnson (Pat) of Ashville, North Carolina.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation with Glenda’s family will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Shirley Hills Baptist Church with the Reverend Joe Haselden and Reverend Dr. Gene Wilder officiating. A graveside committal service will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Zion Hope Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia where Glenda will be laid to rest.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Glenda Johnson Moore to the Rehoboth Baptist Association Appalachian Ministry at www.rehoboth-assoc.org or 744 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.</p><p><br></p><p>Go to www.mcculloughfh.com to sign the Online Registry for the family. Obituary

On the morning of Saturday, March 11, 2023, Glenda Johnson Moore, 85, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.


Glenda was born on January 21, 1938, in Cordele, Georgia to the late William and Wilna Johnson. She graduated from West Crisp High School where she played basketball.
