(nee King)Late of Essex. Passed away peacefully at The Village at St. Clair on November 11, 2018 at 88 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Jim Myles (2009). Dear mother of the late Doug - 2003 (Arlene) of Port Elgin, Don (Chris) of Port Stanley, Dave (Pat) of Essex, Debbie Bridgen (Dale) of Essex and Darryl (Sue) of Port Perry. Loving grandmother of Diane (Glenn), Darren (Jacquee), Dan (Kyla), Becky (Justin), Dani, Stephanie (Jason), Kate-Lynn (Le-Jon), Dawn (Jim), Drew (Nicole) and Nicole (Jordan). Great-grandmother of 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Sister of the late Howard (Carol) King. Sister-in-law of the late Pat (Bill) Koleszar, Cathy Rawlins (late Glenn) and Margaret Hazael (late Pete). She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Jean was a breast cancer survivor; recipient of a Community Service award and the Community & Social Services Volunteer award in 1990; Senior Achievement Award in 2008; a life member of the Kinnette Club of Essex; a founding member of the Essex County Community Living Ladies Auxiliary; highly involved with the Ruthven Apple Festival where she was awarded the Citizen of the year for the Town of Kingsville in 2003. Jean is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. N, Essex on Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Jean’s life will be celebrated from the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Society or to the Essex County Community Living.
