Mr. Shade N. Naugle, 17, of Buchanan Trail East, Waynesboro, PA passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 7, 2023, in his home.

Born November 9, 2005 in Waynesboro, he was the son of Steven W. and Lisa M. (Martin) Naugle of Waynesboro.

Shade was currently in 11th grade at Waynesboro Area Senior High School and enjoyed being a member of the wrestling team over the years. He was planning on going to culinary school after his graduation.

He worked with the family mowing business, S&L and Sons.

Shade was a member of the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, where he participated with the youth group. He was also a member of the Sons of The American Legion through Joe Stickell American Legion Post #15, Waynesboro.

He enjoyed cooking – especially spicy food, playing guitar and handbells, computer games, listening to music while driving and being with his niece and nephew.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Steven Naugle, II (Sara) and Spencer Naugle, both of Waynesboro; one nephew, Jericho Naugle; one niece, Annalise Naugle; his paternal grandmother, Connie Naugle-Culbert of Frankford, DE; two aunts Crystal Hulock (Joe) and Mel Matthews; three uncles, Richard Naugle, II, Nevin Martin, Jr. (Carla) and Dale Martin (Melinda); and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nevin and Marian Martin; his paternal grandfather, Richard Naugle; and his paternal step-grandfather, Frank Culbert.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, 117 S. Church Street, Waynesboro with Pastor John Weber officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
