Joanne (Briggs) Kenyon, age 64 of Exeter, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was the beloved wife of David W. Kenyon. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of Joan M. (Howard) Briggs and the late James E. F. Briggs, Sr.

Joanne was employed by the Exeter-West Greenwich School Department where she worked as a custodian, retiring less than a year ago. She enjoyed needlepoint, playing cards, and watching old western movies with her husband, David. Joanne was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Braves. She loved spending time with her friends and family, most especially her granddaughter, Jaelynn.

She was the loving mother of Joshua Briggs Kenyon; devoted grandmother of Jaelynn Grace Spencer Kenyon; and caring sister of John W. Briggs. Joanne is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her two brothers, James E. F. Briggs, Jr. and Jack R. Briggs.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 4-7 pm in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 11 am in the Exeter Chapel, 765 Ten Rod Rd., Exeter. Her burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
