<p>Richard Alexander, often called "Bobby Brown" was the son of the late O'Neil Alexander Sr. and Louise Wright Alexander. He was born July 06, 1939, in Florence County and departed his earthly life on</p><p>Saturday, March 04, 2023.</p><p><br></p><p>Richard attended school in Florence and was a member of Maxwell Baptist Church. Richard moved to Connecticut in the mid 60's and returned to Florence after he retired from Custom Canvas in Stamford, Connecticut.</p><p>Richard loved baseball and was an avid Dodger fan. He played catcher for the local Rocket Flyers, which was given the name by him.</p><p><br></p><p>Richard was a calm, quiet spirited individual. He could often be seen sitting on the front porch, taking daily walks, taking care of the family dogs, or sitting directly beside the door watching everything and everybody passing by. Many times, you may have thought he was looking out the door, but he would quickly add information to a conversation. He will truly be missed.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Willie, and Tommy Alexander.</p><p><br></p><p>Those left with fond memories to cherish is five brothers O'Neil Jr., Grover, Larry (Gwendolyn), Curtis and his youngest brother who helped care for him over the years, Reverend Angelo (Thelma) Alexander; three sisters Angella Revis, Richmond, Va., Mary Alexander, Stamford, Conn., and Linda Alexander of the home; one aunt and special friend, Gladys Smoot of Richmond, VA; his long-time friend, Bertha Jones of Stamford, Conn. And her children he helped raise, Linda Riddick, Loretta McFadden, Thomasine, Maxine, Jennifer, Janet, Sharon, and Gregory Jones. (Deceased, Patricia, and Charlese Jones.) Special cousins, Lynette Mumford, and LaQuan Mumford.
