<p>Aaron L. Baumgartner a 48-year-old resident of Motley passed away unexpectedly at the Hoag Memorial Hospital in New Port Beach, California. He was born to Shirley (Hertel) and Lawrence Baumgartner in Brainerd, Minnesota on October 2, 1974. He graduated from Staples-Motley High School in 1993. While he was in high school he attended the Auto Body program at Central Lakes College and graduated the same year with that degree. He was then employed by Dondelingers and Abra Auto Body for nearly 30 years.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 4-8 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home in Staples. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Motley Free Methodist Church in Motley, Minnesota with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM. Pastor Jim Johnson will be officiating.</p><p><br></p><p>Aaron enjoyed and loved life to the fullest. He had a strong loving affection for his family. He was the solid rock and his priority was to make them happy and feel loved. Aaron had huge passion for classic cars and attended many cars shows over the years with his Dad, friends, kids, uncles, cousins and brother-in-law. He loved going to BIR to watch the races during the summer months and even raced his Mustang on occasion. Some of his other hobbies and interests were racing RC cars with the kids, riding ATV, snowmobiling and spending as much time as possible at his and Jenny's lake place during the summer. He loved pulling the kids on tubes behind the boat, fishing, having bonfires and cruising around the lake in the pontoon. Aaron always found time to throw the football to Tucker, watched the Vikings play on Sundays and chat his mom on the phone. Aaron will always be remembered by his contagious smile and love for life.</p><p><br></p><p>Aaron will be deeply missed by his wife of 12 years, Jenny; children, Hannah and Tucker; mother, Shirley; sister, Serenity (Wayne) Keppers; niece, Breanna; nephew, Dalton; father and mother-in-law, Gary and Glenda Dauer; sister-in-law, Julie ( Kelly) Christmann ; niece, Alyssa; nephew, Masen; brother-in-law, Jeremy (Darcie) Dauer; nephew, Oliver; niece Emma.</p><p><br></p><p>Aaron is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence; cousin, Robbie; uncles, Tom, Pete, Joe and Henry; grandparents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Baumgartner, Emil and Mardelle (Paulson) Hertel and several; other family members.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Caring for Aaron and the Baumgartner family</p><p>Taylor Funeral Home of Staples</p>

Aaron L. Baumgartner a 48-year-old resident of Motley passed away unexpectedly at the Hoag Memorial Hospital in New Port Beach, California. He was born to Shirley (Hertel) and Lawrence Baumgartner in Brainerd, Minnesota on October 2, 1974. He graduated from Staples-Motley High School in 1993.
