Dad immigrated to Canada from England, at the age of three, with his parents, Ted and Jenny Sayer. He grew up in Walsingham. In 1941 at the age of 21, he joined the Army and served overseas with the Royal Canadian Dragoons in Italy and Holland. While on leave in England, he met the love of his life, Edith Masheter. They married on January 19, 1946, just a few weeks before he was shipped back to Canada. Edith followed, as a war bride, in July. Dad worked at Union Gas Company for many years, retiring in 1983. He was a Proud Member for 75 years of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #125, Delhi. Also a Mason for over 65 years with the Three Great Lights Lodge No. 104, A.F. & A.M, Delhi, where he was Past Master 50 years ago. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed barbequing, gardening and watching his beloved Toronto Blue Jays play baseball. However, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family & friends. Loving father of Linda Donaldson (George), John Sayer (Carol) and Laurie Ferraro (Vince). He was the proud grandfather of Greg (Lisa), Bryan (Sabrina), Andrew (Amanda), Matthew and Emily (Richard). Dad took great joy in spending time with his great grandchildren, Jenson, Ewan, Olivia, Gavin, Meadow and Forrest.
