William Franklin Sabo

<p>William Franklin Sabo ( Gentleman and Cabinet Maker ) age 83 of Brownsville, Pa, passed away February 16, 2023. He was born July 26, 1939, a son of the late James and Julia (Semonsky) Sabo. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Upon returning home from the service, he honed his skill as a trap (skeet) shooter, winning many competitions. He was a member of the Nixon Gun Club, Roscoe Gun Club and the VFW of Hopwood, Pa.</p><p><br></p><p>He was self employed as a skilled wood worker. His moniker was stamped with his name and “Gentleman and Cabinet Maker” on all his handy work. Along with his profession as a cabinet maker, he developed unique and intricate items which included toys, crafts, furniture and many other items.</p><p><br></p><p>He also loved to fish. Having lived in New Jersey a few years, he had the opportunity to fish the ocean. His favorite time was trout fishing.</p><p><br></p><p>Deceased are his twelve siblings. BROTHERS: Emery, Bertram, Steve, George, Zoltan, Albert, Julius and Eugene. Also a brother deceased at birth.</p><p>SISTERS: Julia Frazier, Elizabeth Hoffstot, Marian Neel, Gizella Baker and Marjorie Kurshak-Burris.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his brother-in-law Harley Baker of New Jersey. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He was the last remaining member of his family.</p><p><br></p><p>As per his request, his funeral will be private under the direction of Skirpan’s Funeral Home in Brownsville, Pa. Interment will be in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa.</p><p><br></p><p>Many thanks to his niece Melissa Neel for her care and companionship during his latter years.</p><p><br></p>
