Maria Faye Gibson, of Lakeland, TN, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Friday, February 10, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1979, in Norfolk, Virginia to Wayne Manoso and Lynn Johnson who preceded her in death. Maria is survived by Grant Gibson, her sons, James, Alexander, and David Brailsford, along with six sisters, three brothers, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. After graduating from Fletcher High School, Maria earned a BA from the University of Memphis, and a Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. Through pure dedication, hard work, and persistence, Maria quickly transitioned from a litigation attorney to a partner in one of Florida’s most prestigious law firms. Along with many other achievements, she has also been nominated for the 2023 Super Lawyer Rising Star award. Maria enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling the world, hiking, kayaking, and camping with her boys at every opportunity possible. Maria was not only devoted to her family but a dedicated friend to all.
