<p>Harold Gaines Clark, 86, of Homewood, Alabama, passed away February 8, 2023.&nbsp; Services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, February 11, at Currie Jefferson Funeral Home &amp; Memorial Gardens in Hoover, Alabama, with Rev. Jim Alexander officiating. </p><p>Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens behind the funeral home. </p><p>A native of Fayette, Alabama, Harold (Hal) is preceded in death by his parents, James Fred and Jewel Edna Clark, wife, Johnnie, son, Jim Walter Clark; brother, Darrell Clark; and sister, Margie Nell Gilliam. </p><p>He is survived by his wife, Jan Messer Clark, daughters, Kathy Clark, Ginger Allred, Terry Anderson, and Marlana Mullenix; granddaughter Kaylea Clark Ramsey; grandson, Kavin Clark (Liana) and great grandchildren – Tristian Taylor, Danny Mathews, Kayden Phillips, Bryson Phillips, Landen Clark, Aiden Clark, Brelan Thomas, Charee Mullenix, Charlee Mullenix, Emilee Anderson, Hayden Anderson, and Hannah Anderson; sister, Lyda Black; brother, Jerry Clark and a host of nieces and nephews. </p><p>Hal blazed a trail in business, in his church, and in the community.&nbsp; Hal graduated from business school with an accounting degree and his long and successful business career began with his Property Management business.&nbsp; </p><p>Hal was a long-time member of Briarwood Presbyterian PCA, where he applied his leadership, servant’s heart, and love of Christ and his church to make a difference in the lives of others. Over his many years at Briarwood, Hal taught Healthy Living within the Hallelujah Acres Ministry. </p><p>Hal was an exemplary model of citizenship and service, and his hobby was teaching dance lessons at Shepherd’s Community Center, Valley Christian, and Pell City Community Center where he and Jan met many life-long friends. </p><p>Pallbearers will be David Black, Greg Clark, Kipp Clark, Kyle Clark, Danny Mathews, and Kerry Clark. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Briarwood Presbyterian in Hal’s memory or to the charity of your choice. </p>
