Orlynn Walter Piehl, 88 passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of October 27, 2022.

Orlynn Walter Piehl was born December 4, 1933 to Otto Sr. and Elizabeth (Boldt) Piehl.  He was baptized and confirmed, a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arlington. Orlynn graduated from Arlington High School in 1952.  On April 12, 1953 Orlynn married Charlene Nelson.  To this union four sons were born, Michael, Mark, Matthew and Tim.  In 1968 a daughter Melani joined the family.

Orlynn's life was on the farm and enjoying nature, hunting, fishing and trapping with his boys and numerous others.  Young and old alike learned from this man.  

Orlynn is survived by his sons, Mike (Natalie) Mitchell, SD, Mark, Northville, SD, Matthew, Britton, SD and Tim (Kim) of Baxter, MN. Daughter Melani of Watertown, SD, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A brother Donald (Barbara) Piehl and many nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister Vella, brothers, Vernon, Lowell, Lyle and Otto Jr., daughter-in-law, Marianne Piehl.

Funeral services for Orlynn will be 1:00 pm on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arlington, burial will be in the Arlington City Cemetery.
