Rose M. Weber, 85 of Burlington, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Oak Park Place in Burlington.

Born in Lyons, Wisconsin on June 14, 1937, she was the daughter of George and Helen (nee Ehlen) Wagner. Rose spent her life in Lyons Township and graduated from St. Joseph’s Grade School and St. Mary’s High School. On October 4, 1958, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Sidney Weber. After their marriage, they continued to reside in Lyons where they raised their family.

Rose worked as a teacher’s aide for Cooper School and was a member of St. Joe’s in Lyons. She was a General Leader for Lyon’s 4-H Club and Homemaker’s Club. She enjoyed family genealogy, gardening, freezing and canning, spending time with her family and taking the grandkids whenever she could.

Rose is survived by her husband, Sidney; children, Debbie (Dan) Hegeman and Mark (Debbie) Weber; grandchildren, Katherine (Ryan) Wermes, Lisa (Daniel) Williams, Andrew Hegeman, Peter (Kelsey) Hegeman, Simon (Lauren) Hegeman, Anna Hegeman, Christopher Hegeman, Mary Hegeman, David Hegeman, Stefanie (Jonathan) Dehmlow and Shaun (Sabrina Hodgins) Weber; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Roger (Judy) Wagner, Ruth (Ray) Disterhaft and Russ (Joan) Wagner; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Oak Park Place and St. Croix Hospice for their care and compassion during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and to the family for masses to be said in her name.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday, February 10, 2023 from 4 until 6:30PM at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery on Saturday following the mass.
