Judith Marie LeClair “Judy”, 69 of Shelburne, passed away on January 30, 2023 at her home.

She was born February 1, 1953 in Randolph, VT the daughter of Wendell and Virginia (Allen) Russell.  She graduated in 1971 from CVU in Hinesburg, VT.  Judy married Eugene “Itchy” LeClair on August 6, 1988.

Judy had a number of different professions but working at Shelburne Corporation and Hearthside Quilts were her favorites. Throughout her life Judy enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, darts, fishing, gardening her flower beds, and especially spending time with her lifelong friend Carol Emmons..

She is survived by two sons Paul Birchmore, Jr. and wife Tonya of Starksboro, and Richard Heath, Jr. of Starksboro; stepson Peter LeClair of Charlotte; her grandchildren Haley Palin of Rutland, Mikaela and Richard Allen, Austin Heath of Florida, Alexis (Heath) Packard of Colchester, and Justin LeClair of Charlotte.  She is also survived by three sisters, Cindy Dunshee and husband John of Hinesburg, Silvia Gokey and husband Allen of Essex Junction, and Beth Russell of Waitsfield; her brothers Gordon Russell and wife Jody of Shelburne and Wendell Russell of Hinesburg; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Judy was predeceased by her parents; her husband Eugene LeClair; stepson Gene-Paul LeClair, and her nephew Harley Palmer.

Burial will be later this spring at the convenience of the family.
