Carroll Arthurs, 85, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023. He was born on July 9,1937 to Hubert Arthurs and Thelma Wason Arthurs in Springdale, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Thelma, sisters, Maxine and Helen and brothers Oliver and Harold.

After graduating from Springdale High School, Carroll joined the Air Force. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan where he made the most of his time, exploring the country and local cuisine before settling in Wichita, KS. On April 5, 1968, he married Judy Vallandingham. They had five sons. Carroll graduated from Wichita State University in

1974 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. After many years with the company, he retired from Cargill in Springdale, AR.

He had many talents including fishing, square dancing, ballroom dancing, growing tomatoes, and motorcycling. Carroll enjoyed spending time with family and was very proud of them. Some of their favorite times were spent on the lake, fishing, camping and traveling. He was known for his quick wit and tenacity.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; his sons, Darrell, Danny, John, Timothy and Ted (Rene) and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home, 3236 W Huntsville Ave, Springdale, AR 72762. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Circle of Life Hospice Springdale
