<p>Karen Sue Crabtree, 66, of Roodhouse passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023. She was born April 17, 1956 in White Hall the daughter of Kenny and Mary Lea Crossman Crabtree.</p><p>She is survived by her children, Kylie Crabtree (fiance’, Joe Surratt) and Ryan (Kendra) Crabtree both of White Hall, Morgan Moffitt (Garrett Rogers) of Roodhouse and Trista Crabtree of Jacksonville; 8 grandchildren, Jaden, Levi, Leyton, Adam, Kendan, Luke, Kendal, and Nolan and her brother, Roger (Rose) Crabtree of Oxford, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents.<br></p><p>Karen was currently working as a Medical Assistant at Springfield Clinic where she had been for many years. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in White Hall where she had served on the Pastoral Council. With her faith being very important to her, she had participated in Quincy Cursillo, Residents Encounter Christ Prison Ministry, Teens Encounter Christ, FROG Teen Retreat and Koinonia. She was an avid gardener and was a member of the White Hall Garden Club. Karen loved butterflies and was proud to have had her yard designated as a Monarch Waystation and shared that love with her family and friends. She collected green depression era glass, unique vases and White Hall Pottery. She enjoyed photography and would often send pictures that would appear on the back page of the Jacksonville Journal Courier. She enjoyed spending time with family and traveling with friends. Karen was so proud to be called Gramma K by not only her grandkids but by so many that knew and loved her.<br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at All Saints Catholic Church in White Hall with burial at Fernwood Cemetery in Roodhouse. The family will meet friends from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the White Hall Garden Club.
