Wallace Mack Berry

<p>Wallace Berry, 88, passed away January 22, 2023 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC. He was the husband of Imagene “Jenkie” Berry and the son of the late Stephen and Leila Berry. </p><p><br></p><p>Wallace is survived by his brother, Curtis Berry and his wife Diane; sisters, Joyce Lee and Yvonne LaCroix; and a grandson, Sam Berry. In addition, he is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his son, Donald Mack Berry, who died in 2016.</p><p><br></p><p>Wallace was born in Greenville, SC, and graduated from Parker High School in 1952. He worked in the auto parts business and was the owner and operator of Berry Auto Parts for many years. </p><p><br></p><p>He was an active church volunteer and drove a church bus when he was younger and helped many people who were in need. He left a lasting impression of care and concern for people he met on his travels, his coworkers, as well as his friends and family. </p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to extend special thanks to his niece Gail Metcalf, brother Curtis Berry and nephew Andre LaCroix for their support and care during his illness.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Praise Cathedral, 3390 Brushy Creek Rd., Greer, SC 29650. Visitation with family will begin 1:00 PM, prior to the service. </p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the church or to Open Arms Hospice.</p>
