Betty Kaseman

Betty Jane Kaseman, 95, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at her home. She was born on July 2, 1927, to Fred and Norma (Ries) Lumbrezer in Amboy Township, Ohio. Betty graduated in 1945 from Maumee High School. On June 7, 1947, she married Paul Kaseman in Maumee and celebrated 73 years of marriage, until Paul’s passing in 2020.

In addition to being a homemaker she was an excellent seamstress, cook, and baker. She enjoyed making crafts for everyone. Betty was one of the founding parishioners at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish and was an altar sexton there for over 40 years. She and Paul enjoyed traveling and camping. They were members of the Good Sams and Holiday Rambler Clubs.

Left to cherish her memory are her five children, Pam (Brian) Taylor of Bowling Green, Mike (Donna) Kaseman of Zanesfield, Jeff (Kim) Kaseman of Waterville, Kathy (Mike) Robinson of Grand Junction, CO, and Debbie (Doug) Guhl of Toledo. Blessed with twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. In addition to Paul, she is preceded in death by a son, Greg, her parents, and brother, Walter.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 10-11 A.M. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. A funeral mass will follow immediately at 11 A.M. with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee. If unable to attend, the funeral mass may be viewed by visiting www.toledostpats.org.
