Milan Brecka
<p>Milan Brecka, of Cumberland died Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Care and Rehab-Cumberland. He was born October 29, 1938, in Cumberland, WI to James and Bessie Brecka, and spent his whole life in the Cumberland area. He was married to Gayle Peterson in 1960.</p><p><br></p><p>Milan got his Master's Degree from UW Superior. He worked as a teacher and later guidance counselor first in Cumberland and then in Barron. He was a mentor not only at work but also to his family.</p><p><br></p><p>Milan was an avid fisherman, hunter, and was a proud gardener. He never passed a lake or pond that he had not fished or wanted to. Milan enjoyed working on his hobby farm. He loved being a father, grandfather, and he went to as many of their games that he could.</p><p><br></p><p>Milan's family encourages you to share memories with them via the Tribute Wall on the Skinner Funeral Home website.
