<p><br></p><p>Carlos C. Leigh, age 85, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky, the 64th Wedding Anniversary of him and his beloved wife, Helen.&nbsp; Born Friday, July 23, 1937, in Junction City, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Fred &amp; Lucy Roberts Leigh.&nbsp; His loving wife, whom he married Saturday, January 24, 1959, is Helen Padgett Leigh of Waynesburg.&nbsp; Carlos worked at Cowden’s Manufacturing for 25 years, and Matthews Conveyer Industries for 14 years.&nbsp; Carlos was a skilled welder, repaired small engines, enjoyed gardening, and had the ability to create, make, or fix anything.&nbsp; He was a faithful member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon for 50 years.&nbsp; Carlos loved the Lord, his family, and helping and serving those with which he came in contact.&nbsp; </p><p>In addition to his wife, Carlos leaves behind one son, Don Leigh (Gina) of Stanford, Kentucky; one daughter, Judy Smith (Phillip) of Lexington, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Tanner Leigh (Sarah), Tevin Leigh (Madison Poat), Whitney Smith, and Lauren Smith; three great-grandchildren, Logan Thorn, Rylie Fox, and Brynlee Sloane Leigh; two sisters, Geneva Carman of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, and Mabel Irvin of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Linda Woodall (Woody) of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.&nbsp; </p><p>In addition to his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by six brothers, Ralph Leigh, Freddy Leigh Jr., Charles Hines, Bidwell Hines, Huel Leigh, and Willie Clay Leigh; and three sisters, Geretha Leigh, May Phipps, and Josephine Phipps. </p><p>A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1:30PM Friday, January 27, 2023, at Pleasant View Baptist Church.&nbsp; </p><p>The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:30PM Friday, at the church.&nbsp; Bro. Kerry Jones &amp; Bro. Brad King will officiate the service.&nbsp; The Funeral Service will be recorded and uploaded to Carlos’ memorial page of the funeral home’s website, shortly following the service.&nbsp; </p><p>Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery.&nbsp; Tanner Leigh, Tevin Leigh, Mark Leigh, Jimmy Carman, Brian Carman, Tim Irvin, Julian Wall, Brad Wall, and Byron Wall will serve as Active Pallbearers.&nbsp; Glen Story, Ed Bailey, Jim May, Harold Upton, Willie Petry, Ralph Roberts, Jerry Hampton, and Jim Alford will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.&nbsp; </p><p>Memorial Contributions suggested to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 13571 KY Hwy 1247, Waynesburg, KY 40489. </p><p>Barnett, Demrow &amp; Friend Funeral Home, Waynesburg, is entrusted with Carlos’ arrangements.&nbsp; Guest Book at www.friendfuneralhomes.com. </p>
