Ceferino Rodriguez

Ceferino Rodriguez, age 84, passed away at his home in Springfield, Virginia on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. He was born in Havana, Cuba on April 30, 1933 to Rosario and Ceferino Rodriguez, the sixth of eight children. After fleeing Cuba in 1961, he settled in Virginia. An avid traveler to all corners of the world, he worked as a Spanish Interpreter and Translator. Ceferino was a proud father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Graciela; daughters, Claudia (James) Akers and Elizabeth (Mike) Ortner; grandchildren Gabriel, Julia, Luke, Michael, William, and Mary; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Mary of Sorrows Catholic Church, 5222 Sideburn Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032. Burial will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park.
