<p>Arnita May Roberson (Lovelace) passed away on Friday, January 20th at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor, Florida after a short illness. She was 94 and had been married to her husband, Wilbur Roberson for 69 years until his passing in 2017.</p><p><br></p><p>Arnita was born in Billings, Montana on December 22, 1928 to Bill and Pauline (Frickel) Lovelace. The family relocated to Middletown, Ohio during WWII, and she graduated from Middletown High School in 1946. She married Wilbur Roberson in 1947, and they retired to Florida in 1972.</p><p><br></p><p>The couple resided in Middletown and later in Trenton, Ohio where Arnita was active in community programs. She sat on the council that wrote the charter for Trenton to become a city in 1971. She served as president of the Knothole Baseball League Ladies’ Auxiliary and helped start the girls’ softball league in 1963. She sat on the committee that built Trenton’s municipal swimming pool complex and worked at the election poles for several years. She also served as president of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary in Clearwater, Florida.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pauline Lovelace, and by her husband, Wilbur Roberson. She is survived by two sons, Ron (Sherri) and Marty (Linda) and by six grandchildren; Michael (Shannon), Jason, Jessica (Michael) Spina, Kyle, Jeremy (Samantha) and Brandi (Colton) Williams and by six great grandchildren; David, Miles and Lilly Roberson, Nathaniel, and Noella Spina and Gavin Williams. She will be remembered for her caring and loving nature and her quick wit and sense of humor. Her ashes will be laid to rest at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, Ohio.</p><p><br></p>
