Mitchell Scott was born August 29, 1929 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his residence in the Dodson Branch community at the age of 93.

He was the son of the late Kirk Scott and Minnie Allen Scott. He was married to the late Margaret Elizabeth Scott. He was retired from the Coca Cola plant in Dayton, OH, and also from Fleetguard in Cookeville, TN. He was a member of the Dodson Branch Southern Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his Daughter: Connie Clinton; and Sisters: Margaret Ann Thomas, Evelyn Whithers, and Shirley Rose Thomas.

Survivors include his Son: Roger Dale Scott of the Dodson Branch community; Daughter: Patricia Tremblay of Union, OH; Brother: Walter Scott and his wife, Shirley; Grandchildren: Tana (Corey) Ledbetter of Crossville, TN, Tamara (Chris) Dubree of Cookeville, TN, and Tosha (Lucas) Wilmoth of Gainesboro, TN; and several Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 3 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with David Sharp and Roger Kelly Stockton officiating. Burial will follow in the Dodson Branch Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 P.M. until time of services.
