<p>John Robert Fuqua,63, passed peacefully away after a brief illness on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, St. Francis Campus.</p><p><br></p><p>John was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 3, 1959, to the late Charles Fuqua and Marcella Johnson Fuqua. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, KeShawn Ivy.</p><p><br></p><p>John attended and graduated high school in Chicago. After high school, he relocated to Topeka, Kansas. He worked as a warehouse laborer for a number of years and also worked for the I70 Auto Auction.</p><p><br></p><p>John was a role model to his family whom he loved dearly! He will be remembered as the “ultimate prankster”!</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Debra Liles; three daughters, Rachell Ivy, Schuyler Liles, and Lexie Fuqua, three grandchildren, Zietron, De’Airra, and Jovani, one brother, William Fuqua; as well as beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>As a son, brother, father, and grandfather your presence brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing you. You will be deeply missed! Rest in peace…</p><p><br></p><p>Just talk amongst yourself my friends and share a toast or two.</p><p>For I am sure you will remember well, how I loved to laugh with you!</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

John was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 3, 1959, to the late Charles Fuqua and Marcella Johnson Fuqua. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, KeShawn Ivy.
