Her husband, Randy, and daughter, Claire, were with her in her final moments. </p><p><br></p><p>Margaret, who was known as "Margy" by friends and family, was born in Omaha on September 23, 1960, to Theresa M. (Kloewer) Johnson and Harlan W. Johnson. She is the oldest of five siblings. </p><p>Margy graduated from Burke High School in 1978, and then attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where she received her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She graduated from UNO in 1983. </p><p><br></p><p>On Nov. 6, 1993, Margy married Randy Jauken, in Omaha. On Sept. 27, 1994, Margy gave birth to their daughter, Claire, who today is 28 years old and currently makes her home in Nashville, TN. In late Fall of last year, Margy visited Claire in Nashville and they had an unforgettable time.</p><p><br></p><p>Margy had a long and meaningful career working for the Iowa Department of Corrections (DOC) for 30 years before retiring in 2018.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a long-time member of Brookside Church in Omaha. Last year, Margy was inducted as an official member into the Millard Lions Club, and before her passing, was looking forward to getting more involved in the club's service efforts. </p><p><br></p><p>Margy had a lively spirit and a loving and generous nature. She was known for her wonderful cooking and meal planning for special occasions. She often cooked large and delicious feasts for family events, her church, and other special occasions. </p><p><br></p><p>Everyone who knew Margy was touched by her thoughtfulness. Margy cared deeply for the people in her life and was a natural at taking care of others. Along with her brother, Jeff, Margy provided a lot of loving care and assistance for her mother, as well as her uncle Gilbert, in their later years. </p><p>She loved buying and giving gifts to those she loved. Often, Margy would surprise her family, nieces and nephews, with gifts she picked out especially for them.</p><p><br></p><p>Margaret is survived by her husband Randy, of Omaha, and their daughter, Claire, of Nashville, TN; Her brother, Jeff Johnson and his wife, Trudy, and their daughters, Lauren, Kylie and Leah, all of Omaha; brother, Jerry Johnson and his wife, Shelli and their sons, Wolf, Hayden and Fin, of Lander, WY; her sister, Lisa Matz and her husband, Richard, and their daughters, Mandie, Nicole and Allie, of Valley Center, CA; brother, Jamie Johnson and his wife, Carla of Denver, CO, and several extended family members and close friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa (Kloewer) Johnson and Harlan Johnson; and nephew Matthew Matz. </p><p><br></p><p>Her visitation and funeral will be held at Forest Lawn funeral home and cemetery, located at 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd, in Omaha.</p><p>Open visitation will be Friday, Jan. 20, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.</p><p>The funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m., and a luncheon will follow at the funeral home. </p><p><br></p><p>Please send cards or flowers to Forest Lawn Funeral home, 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd, Omaha, NE 68152.</p><p>If you would like to give a memorial or make a donation in Margaret's honor, please send it to the Millard Lions Foundation, 14517 R Street, Omaha, NE 68137.</p><p><br></p>
