Emil Lange

<p>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Emil Lange on January 7, 2023. </p><p>Emil was born in Slonsk, Poland the eldest in a family of 6. He immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1952 along with his family after some very difficult years in Poland during WW2. Emil started working as an electrician in Chilliwack and in 1963 he moved to Hope and bought Hope Electric with his business partner Irvin Dyck. They ran that business for many years and were involved in several commercial and residential construction projects in Hope and area. </p><p>While Emil was a very skilled electrician and businessman his priority was always his family. His deep and abiding faith in God sustained him throughout his life. He was a faithful servant in his local church offering his services in several ministries. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. The bond that Emil shared with his wife Erma of 65 years was so strong that she only lived 18 hours after he passed. Emil is survived by his daughters: Barbara (Ralph) and Janice (Bruce), his grandchildren: Rebecca, Sarah (Jordan), Esther (Robert), Hannah (Alex), Paul and Caleb (Rachel), 8 great grandchildren, his 2 sisters, Martha (Klaus) and Maria and several nieces and nephews.<br> &nbsp; </p><p>A Celebration Of Life&nbsp;will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church, 949 Third Ave, Hope BC. </p><p>Many thanks to the dedicated staff at Fraser Hope Lodge who cared so wonderfully for Emil over these last few years. </p>
