Caroline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family meant the world to her. Born and raised in St. John's, she graduated from Curtis Academy before working at Veteran's Affairs. Caroline and Jack married in 1961 and lived briefly in Long Pond before moving to Holyrood where they lovingly raised their three children. Caroline was active in the community through the Brownies and Guides, and enjoyed spending time with a small circle of close friends and neighbours. Most summers included camping trips throughout Newfoundland and the Maritimes. Caroline and Jack moved back to St. John's in 2009.

Caroline was passionate about animals of all kinds, especially dogs and cats. Although from St. John’s, she embraced rural life and loved to garden and keep ducks, chickens and goats. She also had endless creative energy and brilliance, evident in a wide range of arts and crafts including sewing, knitting, upholstery, and other fibre crafts, often of her own design. Some of Caroline's crafts became very popular at local craft markets, particularly in the 90's and early 2000's.

Caroline was dedicated to and enjoyed raising her children. She is fondly remembered by all for her abundant love, her attention and guidance in matters of heart and mind, for always being there for them. And for all the cakes and cookies.

Humble and modest, strong and determined, Caroline was generous in heart and spirit. She will be missed immensely.
