Hazel Lorita Gosey, age 100 departed this life Thursday, November 12th, 2015 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Born April 3, 1915 in Kopperl, TX to the late Thomas Carter and Ennis Lee Suddeth.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School.

Hazel married Carl M. Gosey in Wewoka, OK in 1933 and he departed this life February 10, 1993. She worked for Thomas Electric as secretary for a number of years. Hazel enjoyed fishing, flower gardening and traveling.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Wayne Carter, Thomas Carter, sisters; Lena Morgan, and Fern Claggett. She is survived by her son; Richard and wife Diane Gosey of Oklahoma City, brother; Henry Carter and wife Ruthel of Dennison, TX, grandchildren; Carla Grissom of Wewoka, John Gosey of Lewisville, TX, David Gosey of Choctaw, Mitchell Gosey of Holdenville, and Morgan Gosey of Holdenville, 19 great grandchildren, and 5 great- great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday November 16, 2015 at the Wewoka First United Methodist Church with Pastor Susan Rice officiating and interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Blake Johnson, Ronnie Sipes, Mitch Gosey, Morgan Gosey, David Gosey and John Gosey.
