Obituary

Doretha Raines LaFleur (Skippy)  passed away peacefully in her home on Dec. 13, 2022.
Mom was born on Feb. 3, 1938, a frail 3lb baby girl who throughout life handled every obstacle that came her way to become the strong, loving woman we celebrate today.  When asked, she'd always say her Faith is her strength and her faith never waivered.  A long time member of 1st Baptist Church in Slidell.

She loved her Family, Friends, Shopping, Gospel and Country music;  and oh my, she thoroughly enjoyed a good buffet. Compassionate and thoughtful, always believing a little food and prayer could fix almost anything. When she was not feeling well, she'd cook up a cozy meal to bring it to a neighbor who may be feeling a little worse than her.
Doretha was married to Wilbur LaFleur (deceased) and raised 3 daughters.
Lawanda Joy LaFleur (husband, Christopher Norton)
Cheryl Lynn Hall (husband, Chris Hall)
Gay Ann LaFleur (deceased 2020)
She adored and spoiled her 2 grandsons, Christopher Hall and Michael Hall (wife, Courtney Hall) and treasured her great grandchildren Mikey and Piper Hall.
May we all find peace in that she is with our Lord, family and friends who've gone before, experiencing no pain and unlimited crab legs.  Rest Momma.
