<p>Nurse Cap - Linda Booe </p><p>September 23rd, 1948 - Friday, November 18th, 2022 </p><p>Linda Sue (Thaden) Booe, 74, of Lincoln, Nebraska died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 18, 2022.</p><p>Linda was born on September 23, 1948 in Ogallala, Nebraska to Henry J. and Lillian A. Thaden and was raised in Madrid, Nebraska. </p><p>Linda married William (Bill) Booe on January 30th, 1970. Bill and Linda celebrated fifty years of marriage before Bill's passing. In her life, Linda worked unselfishly in service to others. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse working in care of the elderly at both Village Manor Nursing Home and Tabitha in Lincoln, Nebraska.</p><p>Linda was deeply involved in the scouting program. She was an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 56 in Lincoln. One of the very first of many women to be allowed to serve in that position in the state of Nebraska. Linda also held many leadership positions in the council level of scouting in Lincoln.</p><p>Linda loved traveling, camping out, and other family activities with her husband and sons. </p><p>Many trips were made to such places as The Amish Communities, Branson, Missouri, The Ozarks, Casper Mountain in Wyoming, and many National Monuments, as unforgettable memories were made. Linda loved spending her time with her family. Linda loved her Husker football-regardless of who the coach was and made rugs and potholders out of scrapped clothing (many of which became unique gifts to loved ones and strangers, alike), Crafting, Baking, watching her game shows, crossword puzzles, and the many loved "fur-babies" that she had owned gave her a fullness to her life. </p><p>Linda was survived by her sons, Chris and Eric, daughter-in-laws, Kyleen and Nickelle, and grandchildren, Noah, Bayla, and Micah, all of Lincoln, Nebraska. Also survived by her sisters, Reeka Erlewine of Grant, Nebraska, Evelyn Rowley of Thornton, Colorado, Shirley Brown of Casper, Wyoming, and sister-in-laws, Virginia Etter (Bruce) of Columbus, Georgia, Karen Fritschle of Union, Nebraska, and Cheryl Meseraull of North Platte, Nebraska, many nieces, nephews and cousins.</p><p>Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2020, parents, Henry and Lillian, brother, Theron, and her sisters, Bernita, Ruby, and Ruth, and her brother-in-laws, Ron, David, and Royce.</p><p>Memorial services 2 pm on February 4, 2023 at Wyuka Stables 3600 O Street, Lincoln. Pastor Kerry O'Brien officiating. Funeral services entrusted to Hammons Family Funeral Services.
