<p>Nancy Marie Winslett, 76 of Midwest City, OK passed away peacefully in the early morning hours Tuesday, November 29 in the presence of her family.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy was born October 1, 1946 in Wilson, OK to Elmo "Shucks" and Dora Mae Straughn.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy graduated with a degree from Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with a degree in Early Childhood Development. She was an elder of the Chickasaw Nation.</p><p><br></p><p>Nancy's passion was working with children. She was the assistant director of Kinder Castle and served her fellow co-workers, parents and the children faithfully for 32 years.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents Elmo "Shucks" &amp; Dora Mae Straughn; brother Garry Straughn.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughter, DeAnna (Russel) Hughes and son Jerry (Jamie) Winslett Jr.; six grandchildren, Hunter (Hughes) Slarve, Hayden Hughes, Brandon Allen, Taylor Winslett, Andie Winslett and Peyton Hudson; sister, Frances Elizabeth Straughn; nieces, Robin, Kara and nephew John and many loved family members and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>The funeral service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday December 6, 2022 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home with interment immediately following at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK.</p><p><br></p>
