Obituary

Constance “Connie” Cadarette of Bloomfield Hills, MI passed away in her home on November 30, 2022 surrounded by her four loving children following a quietly courageous fight with cancer. She was 88 years old at the time of her death.

Connie was born and raised by her parents, Arthur and Laura Molitor, in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, where she attended St. Paul’s High School. She moved on to the University of Detroit, where she obtained her degree in dental hygiene and met the love of her life, John Robert “Bob” Cadarette. A warm and fun-loving couple, they shared a love of friends, travel, adventure, their children and each other. They were married for 53 years until Bob passed away in 2007.

After service stints in San Diego and Seattle, they returned to Michigan and made Birmingham their home. Together they provided a wonderful example of love and partnership as they raised their four children, Laura Ragold (Jim), Beth Jaskolski (Jeff), John Cadarette (Deirdre) and Nancy Kennedy (Kevin).

Connie and Bob were very social and in addition to hosting many parties over the years, they loved to travel with their close friends. They often took turns allowing just one of them to know where they were going right up to the time they departed. Some of their favorite memories were made on these vacations, as they visited Europe, Hawaii, Mexico and various tropical islands.

When her children were older, Connie began volunteering at Beaumont Hospital where she cheerfully assisted discharging patients for over 35 years. She was also an active member and Eucharist minister of her church, Prince of Peace in West Bloomfield. She was always eager to volunteer, and was so grateful for the close friends these associations brought to her life.

Among the greatest joys in her life was being a great “Nana” to her seven grandchildren: Regan, K.C., Riley and Brendan Kennedy, Jake Jaskolski, and Colin and Camille Cadarette.

She was preceded in death by her loving brother, Arthur H. Molitor, and will be dearly missed by his wife, Virginia Molitor and her children, Karen LaBarge (Paul), Connie Lucchese (Matt), and Chip Molitor (Joey).

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, Dec. 5th at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 4300 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield Township, MI 48323. Family visitation at the church will begin at 10:30

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any memorial contributions be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt. Elliott, Detroit, MI 48207. https://www.cskdetroit.org/ways_to_give/donations/
