Lorene McFall Hill

Funeral service for Mrs. Lorene McFall Hill, 79, of Jacksonville, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Brother Earl Tucker will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Anniston Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Hill passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Cecil Hill; grandson, Jeffery Wilson; parents, L.M. and Lola Mae McFall; her brother, Lee McFall; and her sister, Jane Johnston.

She leaves behind her children, Vickie Wilson (Jeff “Aka Joe), Connie Slaughter (James “Possum Aka Joe”), and Ronnie Hill (Brandi); grandchildren, Ginger Hicks (Justin), Mandy Jones (Matt), Mary Slaughter, Kirstin Hustus (David), Brett Hill (Melodee), and Avery Hill (Chelsea); 10 great grandchildren; her siblings, Willine Brown, Billy Joe McFall, and Mattie Underwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be members of Mrs. Hill’s family.

Mrs. Hill was a wonderful Christian woman who adored her family and exhibited God’s love toward them, daily. She was active in her church at New Canaan Baptist, teaching Sunday School and cleaning the church on a regular basis. With a servant’s heart, there is nothing Mrs. Hill wouldn’t do for those she loved. She retired from Anniston Pump Shop after many years as a supervisor. In her spare time, Mrs. Hill enjoyed watching Alabama football and cheering on her favorite team. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
