<p>Catherine Ann Adams, 67, passed away on November 18, 2022 in Lihue. She was born in Decatur Illinois on July 3, 1955. Cathy graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona and received her Masters in Nursing Administration at the University of Hawaii before she worked as Registered Nurse at Straub Medical Center and Wilcox Memorial Hospital. </p><p>She is preceded in passing by her husband, Peter Adams; her mother, Helen Georges; and her siblings Judy Hull, Peter Georges, and Emily Georges. </p><p>Cathy is survived by her father, Marion E. Georges; her siblings, Chris Georges, Paula Casey, Joe Georges, Tim Georges, John Georges, and Pat Georges; as well as many nieces and nephews. </p><p>Cathy served her community in many ways. She was elected Palolo Lions Club, Vice President 1997-1998; Kauai Community College Nursing Advisory Council 1999-2004; appointed to Hawaii State Center for Nursing Advisory Board from 2004-2006; elected Community representative for King Kaumuali Elementary School 2005-2007; appointed to Civil Service Commission for County of Kauai in 2009 and appointed to the Kauai Police Commission in 2016-2222.She spent her professional career of at the Straub Clinic and Hospital in Honolulu 1979-1999 and at Wilcox Memorial Hospital 1999-2022. </p><p>Donations can be made in Cathy’s name to the Wilcox Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers. </p><p>A Celebration of Life will be held on Kauai at Wilcox Memorial Hospital Conference Room on Sunday December 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Services will be held in Arizona and will be announced at a later date. </p>Obituary
