David L. Dheel
<p>Walton -- David L. Dheel, age 64, of Walton, WV, formerly of Rittman, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 30, 2022, at Genesis Healthcare in Huntington, WV, following a period of declining health.</p><p><br></p><p>David was born on October 14, 1958, in Ashland, Kentucky, to Billy and Juanita (Gunnels) Dheel, graduated from Rittman High School with the class of 1976, and served as a Private First Class in the United States Army following the Vietnam War. He married his first wife, Danielle Arthur, in 1980. They raised 3 children together and separated in 2001. He then married Nancy Green on December 22, 2008 in West Virginia and they have been married for the last 14 years.</p><p><br></p><p>He worked several jobs throughout his life. He was a welder at Gerstenslager’s, worked as a casino security guard, and had several manufacturing jobs in the Cleveland area, before retiring in 2018 due to health reasons.</p><p><br></p><p>David was a former member of the VFW, Wadsworth Eagles Post 2117, and served on the volunteer fire department in Rittman. He enjoyed socializing, fishing, and being the center of attention. </p><p><br></p><p>Surviving, in addition to his wife Nancy, are three children, Bryan (Teresa) Arthur of Rittman, Bruce (Cherie) Arthur of Fairlawn, and Christina Moser of Orrville; step-son, Andy Green of Walton, WV; his mother, Juanita Dheel of Rittman; grandchildren, Cora, Maddy, Katy, Cooper, Bella, Ava, Gwendolynn, and Emma; two brothers, Steven (Carol) Dheel of Rittman, and Mike Dheel of Piedmont; sisters-in-law, Kathy Dheel of FL, and Cheryl Dheel of Minford, OH; former wife, Danielle Dheel of Burbank; and numerous nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his father Billy Dheel, and his brothers Tony and Gary Dheel.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends may call from 10-11:30am on Tuesday, December 6th at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 1:00pm at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be observed.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W.
