<p>Barbara Jean Mertens, age 76, of Staples, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November</p><p>27, 2022. Barb was born on April 22, 1946, in Little Falls to Lawrence & Anna (Lajesse) Colombe.</p><p>Barb worked as a receptionist at the Staples Veterinary Clinic for 33 years. She loved spending</p><p>time with her granddaughter. She was a very neat and tidy woman. A friend to everyone.</p><p>Barb will be forever missed by her children, Teresa (Dennis) Winzenburg and Mike Corner;</p><p>granddaughter, Amber Winzenburg; sister, Shirley Colombe.</p><p>Barb is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Joseph Corner; second husband, Robert</p><p>Mertens; significant other, Larry Delaney.</p><p>A funeral service for Barb will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11AM at Trinity Lutheran</p><p>Church. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran church on Thursday, December 1, 202 from 4-7PM</p><p>and Friday, one hour before the service. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery.</p>Obituary
