<p>Tony Lynn Shook, 59, of Conover, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at his residence.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born May 26, 1963 in Catawba County to Bobby Lee Shook and Jean Fox Shook of Conover. Tony was a member of Joy Baptist church and was self-employed as a roofer with S&S Roofing.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harvey and Lily Shook; maternal grandparents, Marshall and Ola Fox; and his brother, Terry Shook.</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish his memory are;</p><p><br></p><p>Daughters: Erin Newsome of Taylorsville</p><p> Jessie Kerley of Alleghany</p><p><br></p><p>Father and mother: Bobby and Jean Fox Shook of Conover</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>Brother: Tim Shook and wife Melody of Conover</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>Sister: Vickie Hester and husband Rick of Hickory</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>Grandchildren: Hayden Newsome, Catherine Newsome, and Joseph Kerley</p><p><br></p><p></p><p>A service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Joy Baptist Church in Conover. Rev. Fred Staley will officiate. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory.
