Ross Smith

Ross passed away peacefully with his loving children by his side, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Southampton, on Tuesday November 22, 2022. Born on July 19, 1949 in Toronto, Ross Edwin Smith of Owen Sound, was in his 74th year.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of the late Dona Smith (nee Sprung) for 39 years. Loving father of Jason Smith of Parry Sound, Lorie Smith of Owen Sound and Amy Hellyer (Greg) of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Aliviah and Landon McCall. Ross will be dearly missed by special friend Loretta Lewis of Barrie. Dear son of the late Harold and Doris Smith and son-in-law of Evelyn Sprung and the late Laverne Sprung. Dear brother of Susan Hart and brother-in-law of the late Ted Hart. Brother-in-law of Glen & Betty Sprung, Wayne & Colleen Sprung, Bonnie & Bob Casemore, Lee-Ann Sprung, Shelly & Scott Batterman. Ross will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

In keeping with Ross’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

We invite all family and friends to attend a Come and Go Celebration of Life for Ross to be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #383, 86 River Street, Tara on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
