Mrs. Bessie Lee Hearst Calhoun, 101, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Monday, November 28, 2022, at her residence. Born in Newberry County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Mural Hearst and Cora Lee Calhoun Hearst.

She was married to the late Earthie Calhoun for 30 years before his demise.

Surviving: three daughters, Mary (Jerry) Brooks of Lyman, SC, Wanda Williams of Mauldin, SC, Vanessa Lewis of the home, SC; two granddaughters raised in the home, Melody (Darrell) Washington of Taylors, SC and Valerie Brown of Simpsonville, SC; one sister Genelle Henderson of Philadelphia, PA; one sister-in-law, Mary Alice Hearst, of Smyrna, GA; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other close relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, December 6, 2022, 1:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
